My Green Thumb

After all the years of not knowing what to do with our deck, which is long and narrow, behind the house, I finally love it! Over the last two years, I have tried out cute planters with cool plants or flowers in them. Last year, we had vegetables which the kids loved watching grow and picking when ready! This year I tried something new and I really like it! A few are transplants, but in time they'll come around. I just love the life that plants bring to our deck. What used to be boring and useless is now relaxing and pretty!

We also have a wrought iron table and four comfy chairs to go with it. Then two reclining chairs as well. So comfy!

Ethan's quote: He has been wanting to help me cook, and so the other day I told him that when he was older and got married, his wife would be so happy that he could cook! He replies," Yeah I don't have one of those yet!"

I have got some work to do...........

Also, a prayer request for a family from our church. Their 12 year old daughter took off yesterday morning before school with her 15 year old boyfriend and the family hasn't seen or heard from her yet. Pray that she comes home safely and that her Mom and Dad can make it through this tough time of not knowing. I can't imagine how they are feeling.

Hey Kim. I saw a picture of the girl that is missing on the door of Rulli's yesterday. It just broke my heart - ANYTHING like that with children just about kills me. I will definitely keep her in my prayers and please keep me posted!
