Progressive Dinner

Wednesday afternoon, my mom called me and had a fun idea that she wanted to do with my two oldest.

She first of all surprised them by picking them up at school! That was a treat in itself, but there was more!

They had four places to go, and Jadyn and Ethan each got to choose two of the places.

What they did was a fast food progressive supper. Ethan got to choose the first place to go for a drink. For each course of the supper, they had three choices to choose from. Out of the three, he chose to go to McDonald's for their drink.

Next on the menu was french fries. Ethan again got to choose this stop. With just a little prodding, he chose to go to South Side Soda Shop. If you have never gone there, you must! It is so yummy and fun! Their french fries are an entire potato peeled and curled, if that makes sense. So yummy! And of course they couldn't leave there without a souveneir. They each got a sweatshirt or a shirt. At this point they were already full, but the dinner was not done yet!

Their next stop was the main course. Jadyn wanted to go to Chili's but was so full from the french fries. So she chose instead to go to Burger King. They both ate very light! And they couldn't leave BK without getting a crown!

So by the time they rolled into Dairy Queen for dessert, they were dressed in their South Side Soda Shop shirt/sweatshirt, and were wearing their BK crowns. They looked like a walking advertisement! They left DQ with half eaten desserts, full tummies, and wonderful memories!

It wasn't exactly the healthiest of days for them, but they sure had a lot of fun!
