The man who spoke this evening went to the same high school that I did, but I never knew him very well. He ran around in a very different crowd than I did, had different interests, you get the picture. Little did I know what his life had been like up to that point, or even up to now for that matter!
It just really showed me that you really do not know someone's story just by what you see or assume. Taking the time to listen is where you truly get to know why someone is the way they are, their beliefs, their actions, their opinions.
I have a lot of work to do in that area. I always have the excuse of being too busy. Do I want to keep living like that? Not getting to know new people? Or getting to really know the people that are already in my life?
Not really...
What I really want to do is "Take the time."

Those are words that everyone should read and consider. Many times it's the people who are closest to us that we really don't understand. Today's times are different, there are many hurting people who are "wearing" a mask. I can tell you are under a lot of conviction right now, God is going to do a Mighty Work in your life, He will direct your path to those He wants you to minister to.
What you see is not necessarily what you get, is it? Taking the time is such a blessing, but very difficult when you have little ones...Take time! I think that is why I love visiting 'older than me' people, because they have all the time in the world to give!
Hey you are on the right path with me. :) And our "monthy breakfast club"....Which I love. And thanks again for the adorable posters...I love them. Now can you get me some frames for them?
