Mennonite Youth Convention 2009

Tomorrow morning we are leaving for Columbus, OH for our Mennonite Youth Convention. We have these conventions every other year, and Mennonite youth groups from all over the country gather for a week of fun, worship, learning, and more fun!!!

Since Roger and I are sponsors, we of course are going along, as well as the other sponsors, youth pastors, and the youth. I think there are at least 50 of us all together!

I absolutely cannot wait! I went when I was in high school, but now I am on the sponsor end of things. It will be really neat to see another side of the convention.

Ethan and Jadyn are going to participate in the Kids Convention every day from 8 - 5:30. They have some really fun activities planned for them! Ethan is still struggling a little. He is so timid and shy, and nervous in new situations. Please pray for a sense of calm for him. My mom offered to keep him home with them, but I really feel like it is best for him to come along, although I know the fight we will be up against!

Also, Saturday night Kutless is performing for the youth! What a great concert to end the week on! Can't wait! Here is a preview from Youtube...

Most importantly, Addison turns 2 today!!! We had a party for her last night and she got spoiled rotten! I want to do a slideshow when we return. She gets to stay with Grandma Sarah and Punkin (Grandpa) this week while we are gone. She will have a blast.

We aren't sure where Punkin originated, but we love it and she says it all the time!!!
