Jadyn went to Camp Amigo again this summer. July 19th-23rd, Sunday to Thursday. Not long enough in her words. This is her third summer she has gone, and the day she comes home, she starts thinking about going again next summer.
She asked her BFF, Cassie to go with her this year. Cassie was a little unsure, but ended up having a blast! Cassie's mom, Kathy, and I are great friends from teaching together. Jadyn & Cassie have been friends since Cass was brought home from China at 9 months old!

Another really cool coincidence was Jadyn's friend, Livia, was there the same week! She met Livia when we went to Columbus for our youth convention in June. They were in the same tribe and just had a ball together. We found out at the end of that week that they would be at Camp the exact same time! The girls could not believe it!
They weren't in the same cabin, but they got to see each other quite a bit! Jadyn & Livia exchanged addresses and BFF necklaces. I can't believe that my girl is already doing that!
Their cabin groups were waiting in line for their turn at going to dinner. This was the night that Kathy and I picked them up to go home. We had a chance to eat dinner with them, collect all of their things, and head home.
The entire group performed several songs that they learned throughout the week.Look, they still love each other!

That's what I love about Mennonite conventions and camps ... there is always a way to make "connections"! Yeah, I'm just a sappy Menno. :)
I can't believe I missed your blog too....I missed Cindy's last one too, so I made a blog hog of myself and left a long comment!
The food line picture....she's lookin' like she's not quite ready to come home yet!
I'm sure they made lots of memories and your statement about 'you can't believe she's making friends everywhere'.....Like Mother, like daughter!
She seems to be at her happiest when she's with her friends....just the other night we (Willy & I) were talking-we do that once in a while-and he commented that one thing he remembers in the summer that our kids never seemed to be bored cause they always and I mean always had somebody over to play! I'm not kidding....I used to say 'when you had 4 kids, what's 4 more? Everybody seems a lot happier'. We didn't have things like 4-H to distract us, although we did have a mini-farm most of the time! ok-I'll quit!
