Palm Springs

We made it! Yesterday we drove to Chicago and stayed at the Marriott by the Ohare airport. It was a late night and an early morning. Our flight left Chicago at 11:55 and the flight to Palm Springs was 3 hours and 38 minutes to be exact. A half hour earlier than expected! YEAH! Addison traveled so good. She slept about 1 1/2 hours and then was passed back and forth from Roger to myself the remainder of the time. We got our rental car and drove to the Marriott Desert Springs Villas (http://www.vacationclub.com/resorts/de/default.jsp) which was only about 8 miles away but 20 minutes because there are so many traffic lights. Unfortunately, we are driving a minivan :). Jadyn was so hoping for a convertible, that would fit 5 people and all of our luggage! YIKES! The kids wanted to swim the minute we got here, but we unpacked first, ate some dinner by the pool, and then changed into their suits to swim for a little while. Addison wasn't in her suit, but I should of changed her into it. She was soaked! She definitely wasn't scared of the water!

Some highlights of our trip:

*Addison messed her diaper at Ohare so bad that we ended up throwing away her shirt rather than smelling like poop the entire flight. Luckily, good old mom had an extra shirt along.

*Ethan was arguing that we were going to Palm Springs, not California

*Jadyn insisted on learning multiplication on the trip. So we are working on the easy ones, 0,1's, 2's, 5's, 9's, 10's, 11's.

*Addison was doing crawling laps in the bathroom and listening to her voice echo. HILARIOUS!

*Ethan couldn't believe that one of the pools was 3 ft. all the way across. He didn't believe that he could walk across the whole pool.

*Jadyn ran through the cold water fountains by the pool screaming like crazy, then jumped into the 1 ft. kiddie pool. (Which reminds me of another story...In Florida we kept saying that we were going to the kiddie pool, and when we got there he says, "Where are all the kitties?". Get it?
