* so much talking
* so much reminiscing
* way too much laughter
* way too much fun!
Cori and I left Saturday morning for our adventure with Corina in Indianapolis. We made it down in great time considering that we saw a police car in the act of pulling someone over every 100 feet or so going down on US 31.
Thankfully, we were not one of those many, many vehicles. We called Corina when we were about an hour away, just to make sure she wasn't still in her jammies when we arrived. She does like her Saturday mornings. That was when she informed us that we weren't allowed to talk the rest of the way down. She was afraid she was missing out, which she was, but we caught her up later. :)
When we got to her house, we stayed there for a little while talking to her hubbie, and admiring her two little beauties! They grow up so fast when you don't see them very often!
Then it was off to downtown, to find The Westin. Little did we know that Market Street would be closed, and we would have to find our own way. So we had a little detour, via the Ghetto, but we made it safe and sound! Of course we had to catch up in the hotel room before we took off for Circle Center, but then it was time to shop, shop, shop!

I love how, even though we don't talk all the time, or see each other that much, we pick up where we left off. It makes it so easy!After shopping for several hours, we decided that since it was 8:00 we should probably grab a bite to eat. All three of us wanted to look nice, so we went back to the hotel to freshen up and decided to walk around downtown to figure out where we would eat. The three of us, not being decision makers, finally decided on The Ram. It is a brewery, and is so yummy!

I can now cross off something on my 100 things to do list...I had my first Martini.
Ok, no guilt, no kids!Dinner was great and we thought that the night was still so young, why not go find another restaurant to have drinks at. We went to Palomino and sat at the bar for a while just talking, laughing, and reminiscing some more.
So much fun...
Then reality hit!
Cori and I got home about 5 o'clock on Saturday, after sleeping in until 9:30. So nice.
I had been in some contact with Roger about his weekend with the two oldest kiddos. He took them camping. Unfortunately, Ethan got the stomach flu Friday night, and was still not 100% by Sunday night.
Monday morning, Roger went to work and was home again and in bed by 9:30. Addison had a well child visit at the doctor's and of course, has an ear infection. So she is now on Augmentin, feeling crappy with a tummy ache, diarrhea, and a sore bottom. Yuck!
Today, I had to pick Jadyn up at school at 12:30 because she wasn't feeling well. No throw up yet! Keep your fingers crossed.
And I am left. Feeling fine, so far. But incredibly thankful, for a wonderful weekend away from reality!
