Finishing up with Australia/New Zealand

After a brief blog vaca, it's time to finish the update. When we traveled from Sydney to Melbourne, we were kept so busy that we barely had time to do anything on the computer. Plus we had to pay for our online time, and we didn't want to do that. That's why the blogging came to a standstill. So I hope this blog does justice to our trip and satisfies your curiousity about our trip.

You can't go all the way to Australia and not see a koala or a kangaroo, so we went to the Taronga Zoo in Sydney and had good luck. I actually posted a pic of a wallaby not a kangaroo because they are cuter... One evening, Jayco Caravan, based in Melbourne, hosted us and treated our entire group to a private concert. The group is called the McClymonts. They are three sisters that sing country music and have won several awards in Australia. They are very good, and seem to be up and coming. I think Roger just liked all the leg they were showing...
Roger and AndyKim and SarahWe visited the Jayco Australia plant one day in Melbourne. They have just built new offices. We visited the Mitchelton winery We went to a local aquarium and got to see really cute penguins.
On to New Zealand...
Our flight could not land in Queenstown because of cloud cover, so we made the extra 20 min. flight to another town, and then were bussed 2 1/2 hours to Queenstown. It turned out ok because we got to see some beautiful countryside. Here is a field covered with sheep, not an abnormal sight in the country. There are sheep everywhere! The water everywhere was absolutely beautiful. This is a river we drove over. It reminds me of the color of the water in the Caribbean, but much colder. We went up a gondola overlooking Queenstown.Visited Walter Peak, a sheep farm that you get to by this boat, and had lunch and watched the farm in action.Lunch on the town
Roger was hoping to catch a glimpse of "Roger and the Ramjets."
I was singing the Hallelujah Chorus when I saw a Starbucks on the corner.

And Roger bungee jumped at the original sight of bungee jumping. Off a bridge. Got dunked into his waist in the raging river below. Yeah. I was scared.Apparently, he wasn't.So that's our trip in a nutshell. I couldn't include pics of everything. But if you want to see more, let me know, and I will post more.
And by the way, New Zealand is by far the most beautiful country I have ever visited. It is so lush and green, mountainous, beautiful lakes. If you get the chance, make sure you visit this amazing place!
