It's fun when it isn't 30 below! I could not believe when I took Addison out in the snow last week that she would actually enjoy herself. Jadyn and Ethan didn't love the snow until they were older. So I set my expectations pretty low and was very surprised!
She wanted to watch Ethan shovel snow first. Then she wanted to climb small piles and fall over. Unfortunately, as much fun as falling was, the getting back up was much more difficult than she expected!
Addison and I made our way over to Amish Highway 35 , who happen to be our neighbors, to watch the kids sled on the barn hill. She thoroughly enjoyed watching, but loved the sledding even more! Jadyn took her on her first sled ride, and she was all smiles. Ethan took her on a ride, I took her on a ride, and she actually went by herself once! All smiles the whole time! Then I just had to let her go one more time...alone... This time the only ones smiling were the rest of us, because she went face first into the snow! She shed lots of tears, so it was time to go home.
Ethan and I also played a game in the snow. I don't know what it's called, I just call it snow tag. You have to find a patch of snow that is untouched and make a large circle path. Then you make a path across the center, and then another one that crosses the first path. So now you have a circle with a cross in it. Depending on how big your circle is, you can make any number of paths. Anyway, the idea is that you have one person who is "IT" and they can only chase you on the paths that have been made. We had so much fun!
I realized later that I got no pictures of Jadyn. We were having too much fun sledding and playing!

Back in my day....a long time ago....it was called fox & geese! The fox was the chaser dude and the geese run for their lives or the prey! Addison is so funny and loves it outside! good for her! You actually did get a photo of Jadyn with her & Addison on the sled! GO KIM! You win! SHKADOOSH! I WIN!
Anyway, Katy said you never played that game with them....you were probably playing Barbie or something like that! or just hanging out with all your boyfriends & girlfriends? probably texting someone since you weren't allowed a cell phone...wait - did they even exist back then? not so much as now, that's for sure! not that you're old or anything, but technology has changed so much the last 10 yrs......... blog hog here is signing off!

Great pics Kim. I agree if it would just stay around 30 degrees the snow would be so much for fun!! Haven't caught up with you in awhile. It looks like all is well. Take care.
