~Addendum...Please do not worry, everything is fine but it has been tough this week. I really wanted to share how we made it through and how God was with us and working in our lives.
This week has been a tough week for us, but this evening I was reminded how good God is! The Bible Study that I attend on Tuesdays is studying the Book of Daniel in the Bible, and this week in particular we were talking about going through trials in our lives. It's funny how God works. The scripture we have been studying in Daniel was so fresh in my mind when life took a few crazy turns. 1 Peter 1: 6-7 says..."So be truly glad! There is wonderful joy ahead, even though it is necessary for you to endure many trials for a while. These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold-and your faith is far more precious to God that mere gold. So if your faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world." Romans 8:39 "whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord." So to quote Beth Moore (the author of my Bible Study book)..."God sees, He knows, He acts, He heals." We made it through this hectic week knowing that God was with us and will always be with us. I can't imagine what the week would have been like without Him.
OK, take a deep breath....Today was Roger's birthday too! The big 3-5! Unfortunately, our computer is acting up and being weird, so no pictures yet! He requested ribs for his b-day, so we ate at home with Amber & Matt, Mom & Dad, and our small troop. It was so good! Then it was time for presents. He got two new games for the Wii, three nice shirts, and a toolbox (from me), so he stops using and misplacing my tools. This toolbox can stay up in the garage, so he doesn't have to go hunting for tools down in his shop. YEAH ME! I thought it was clever! :)
Sorry it was so deep tonight, but it felt so good having that Peace that I wanted to share it!

Don't be too excited about the tools. Dave (and Mitch) have a whole garage of tools, and my very own tools that I thought I hid in my closet, still "walk away"!
Love you guys!!! And I was so self-centered yesterday that I forgot to tell the great guy Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday Roger, you rock!
It's good that we don't know what God has planned for us as we would probably run & hide! He gives us strength & courage to journey on and to grow in the face of adversity! PTL Thank the Lord that He has an abundance of love for us ~ and it's just so reassuring to know that He carries us through those times!
Seriously, Kim, you need to get Roger signed up for voice lessons! He's so funny and totally loves his WII American Idol karaoke game! It's really scary to hear some of these people sing! not going to mention any names!? Let's just say we give them an 'A' for effort!
U KNOW I DO READ THIS BLOG!
Kim, thanks for putting those verses on the blog for me to read again. I needed it today...they were perfect.
God is good - all the time!
I'm so glad that we're in this Bible study together! We are learning some good stuff, aren't we?
