(Revised, you will notice I now have pictures. Thanks to my hubby! )
Yesterday morning, about 7:30 am Thursday in Sydney, which was about 4:30 pm Wednesday at home we walked off the airplane.
Fortunately, the travel service that organizes the dealer trips, had arranged for our hotel rooms to be ready for us, so that we could finally take a shower and rest for a bit. We were so exhausted, because of the time change, but we felt like we had to keep moving all day so we could adjust our body clocks. All of us who traveled together slept well on the flight. I got about 8 hours of sleep, but I also watched 3 movies. It was a long flight. Our seats were in business class, which after you have experienced that, you never want to even look at a coach seat. I know, very spoiled. But let me tell you, we had our own tv's and we could watch whatever we wanted out of their selections. Where 3 coach seats usually sat, only 2 business seats were. So our seats were plenty wide, and then they laid all the way down like a bed so we could sleep easier!

So yesterday, after we got ourselves showered and presentable, we set off looking for lunch. The food is a bit different, but nothing that we wouldn't try. We ended up walking through a part of Sydney called The Rocks. It is the oldest part of Sydney right on the harbor. Talk about the architecture! It was so amazing. I took so many pictures, I think more of buildings than anything else. I absolutely loved admiring the old facades mixed in with the new.

Random coffee bar, I liked their menu.
This bird was just finding seeds along the harbor, so cute.So after we found a place to eat, we kept on walking. Their seasons are opposite ours, so it is Spring, beginning Summer here. But yesterday was pretty chilly and wet. It sprinkled throughout the day. We found several places to stop for coffee to warm us up though. One shopping center we went to was originally an old victorian building that took up an entire block. it had stained glass windows, and was absolutely gorgeous with some amazing little quaint shops tucked in.

Grandma wouldn't try the beer, but we tried.
This amazing clock was in the large shopping center. It was beautiful. In the late afternoon, we ventured back to the hotel, and rested for a few hours before heading out to dinner. We chose to eat in The Rocks district at a restaurant called Woofies. It is right along the harbor beside an old shipping building. We sat outside under a humongous tent filled with lights and heaters beside the tables. Mom and I grabbed the seats closest to the heaters, because we were so chilled because of the rain.
Roger and I both ended up ordering steak which we thought was a filet, but again, we are in another country, so it wasn't what we were expecting, but it was really good. This was my dessert, yummy!

After dinner, we headed back to the hotel, and finally fell into bed around 10:30 pm. 7:30 am at home.
Seven bells rang this morning, and my eyes were wide open. It is so weird the difference in time, and adjusting to it, but I think we are doing well.
The rest of the Jayco group is arriving today. I think there are over 300 more coming. I am so glad we got here a day ahead of everyone. I think we will be pretty refreshed today.
Today, we are going to relax a lot, but I also want to walk around town again and explore. Definitely visit The Rocks again, and maybe a museum or two. We will see...

Keep posting - love to relive our trip last December! Not to make your Mommy Guilt any worse than it already is, I need to tell you I had to wipe a tear at your last post. I don't care how resilient kids are, it still is sad when they have to say good-bye!
Dave & I are getting ready to go downtown Sarasota and see Fireproof. Cloudy today, so did some shopping - no complaints here! Soon you'll see a post about my PineCraft thingy. :)
